Vincent Charles Van de Motter, Jr., 67, of Fayetteville passed away November 15, 2017. Born in Cleveland, Ohio to Vincent Charles, Sr. and Mildred Van de Motter on August 20, 1950, Vandy was a blessing to all who would meet and come to know him throughout his life, due to his kind and giving spirit.
A graduate from Ferris State University, Vandy started his distinguished career as marketing director for the Dr. Pepper Company and went on to become Director of International Sales at the Coca Cola Company, with positions spanning four different states.
Having a steadfast faith and commitment to God, Vandy was best known for his volunteerism supporting various organizations including the Ronald McDonald House, Little League, and Habitat for Humanity.
He was most proud of his sons, Chas and Drew, to whom he was an exceptional and supportive father who always provided encouragement, patience, and played an active role in their lives rarely missing their sporting and school events.
Vincent was preceded in death by his father, Vincent Charles Van de Motter, Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Thomas Van de Motter of Fayetteville; sons, Vincent Charles Van de Motter, III and Thomas Andrew Van de Motter of Fayetteville; mother, Mildred Van de Motter of South Bend, Ind.; brother, Kurt Van de Motter of Dallas, Texas; sister, Ann Voll of South Bend, Ind., as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, November 20, 2017 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Peachtree City, with Father John Murphy officiating.
