Captain William Stephen “Steve” Drennan, Sr., 55, of Newnan, passed away on November 9, 2017 in Atlanta, Ga. He was born in Atlanta, Ga. on October 17, 1962 to Garland and Shirley Drennan.
He was a Correctional Officer’s Captain with Coweta County Road Department. Steve was an avid motorcyclist.
He is survived by his wife, Katie H. Drennan; his parents, Garland and Shirley Drennan; his sons, William Drennan and Robert Drennan; his brother and sister-in-law, Kim and Denise Drennan; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mary and Dereck Childres; numerous nieces and nephews, along with aunts, uncle and cousins.
His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville Chapel, with Reverend Charles Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Memorial Gardens, Fayetteville, with honors provided by Coweta County Corrections. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday evening, November 14, 2017.
