Edgefield Baptist Church is sponsoring its inaugural Every Color Matters 5K run/walk Saturday, Oct. 14 (rain or shine). About 300 runners and walkers are expected.
The start location is 4 Center Drive in Fayetteville and free parking is provided. Runners start at 8 a.m. and walkers start at 8:15.
The community-wide, kid-friendly event “exists to provide encouragement, hope and support to those in our local community affected by cancer through fundraising and raising awareness of its many forms,” according to organizers. “Every Color Matters goes beyond the Cancer Awareness color chart but it represents every race, religion and creed.”
