An Aug. 14 request from The Avenue shopping center in Peachtree City to have the tower feature removed received unanimous approval from the Peachtree City Planning Commission.

The removal of the tower situated near the middle of the center’s main building was requested because it partially hides the existing glass storefront door. Removal will increase visibility of the retail tenant’s space, according to staff reports.

Also at the meeting, commissioners unanimously approved a conceptual site plan modification from the Dockery Group to add a new 10,000 sq. ft. office and warehouse building to the facility in the South 74 Industrial Park.
