FFUMC’s ‘Modern Worship Gathering’ planned for Aug. 27

Fayetteville First UMC members are invited to get to know others in the church family and community and worship in a modern setting at the next Food and Fellowship gathering on Sunday,  Aug. 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Those attending are asked to bring food to share at a potluck- style dinner if they can, but food is not necessary.

Carson Thaxton and others will lead a time of worship together following dinner.

A nursery is provided for children 3 and under. Older children are invited to participate in group worship and then their own worship time.

Future gatherings include Sept. 24 and Oct. 22.

The church is at 175 Lanier Ave. in downtown Fayetteville across the street from the historic courthouse.
