0Flipper Chapel A. M. E. Church will celebrate its 100-plus years anniversary on Sunday, Aug. 20.
The speaker for the morning service will be the Rev. Joan Sanders.
The second service will start at 2: 30 p.m. The pastor and guest church will be the Rev. Charles Ramsey and the St. John A. M. E. Church from Fairburn.
The theme is”Journeying through the years in Faith, as we follow God’s lead.” 2 Corinthians 5: 7- “For we walk by Faith and not by sight.”
The community is invited to join the celebration.
The Rev. Kimberly Lyons is the host pastor.
The church is located at 175 Booker Avenue, Fayetteville.
