Members of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will  gather for fellowship and service on Sunday, Aug. 20 as they pack 30,000 meals for Rise Against Hunger (formerly Stop Hunger Now).

The meals church members packed last year went to Maputo, Mozambique, as part of an emergency drought response. Their meals, along with meals packed by other groups, provided lunch for 60 days for 9,756 students.

Following worship and before they begin work on Aug. 20, the group will share a church family lunch in the Fellowship Hall from Chicken Salad Chick.

Reservations for lunch by Sunday, Aug. 13, are appreciated and can be made online or by calling the church office, 770-461-4313. The lunch is free, but donations are welcome.
