‘Hateful reporting’ on LGBTQ issue

What an embarrassment to the people who live here. People are really fighting to keep others (nurses in this case) from being educated on handling LGBTQ students.

The man on the front page needs to hang his head in shame and the women who said, “This if Fayette County, not New York or San Francisco, etc.”

This is the world, this is America, deal with it. Such hateful reporting by your paper doesn’t help the issue. The last sentence in the article is egging people to come out and fight for their prejudices. How horrible.

Have a wonderful day!

[The editor replies: Here is the sentence Ms. Allen cites: “Regardless of the topic at any school board meeting, and with property taxes currently at 19.75 mills, the reality is that the school board levies far more taxes than any other governmental body, yet enjoys far less public scrutiny than any of Fayette’s local governments.” The sentence references property tax levels and the lack of public scrutiny of the Board of Education. Methinks Ms. Allen is seeing this story through her own prejudices and finding “hate” where none exists.]
