A Brooks man was charged in a June 3 incident when he crashed his ATV at a residence on Coweta County then left the scene.

Georgia State Patrol Trooper Lindsey Barber said the incident occurred at a Cobbler Drive residence in northeast Coweta off U.S. Highway 29.

Bradley Hornsby, 24, lost control of his ATV and traveled down the driveway, striking items such as such as a vehicle, a support post on the residence and a large flower pot, Barber said.

Barber said Hornsby, who was later charged with a number of violations such as leaving the scene of an accident and striking an unattended vehicle, subsequently left the scene, but left his cell phone and other items at the scene of the accident.

Barber said Hornsby had been visiting friends in the area prior to the incident and returned to that location after the crash.

Hornsby turned himself in on Monday, Barber said.
