Joe Neal Meade, 78, of Peachtree City, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 surrounded by his family.
He was born on February 16, 1939 to the late Harold and Verna Meade in Pike County, Indiana. Joe graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor’s Degree. He obtained his Master’s Degree from the University of Chicago. He lived and worked in California, Minnesota, Illinois, and Peachtree City, Georgia, where he retired. Joe enjoyed watching the Atlanta Falcons, the Atlanta Hawks, and playing golf. He enjoyed working in the yard.
Joe is survived by his wife of 57 years, Diane Meade; daughter, Alison Meade of Iowa City, Iowa; sons, Kent Meade of Dallas, Georgia and Kevin (Kathy) of Newnan, Georgia; grandchildren, Tristan Spears of Ames, Iowa, Kaylee Meade of Newnan, Georgia, and Brenna Meade of Genoa City, Wisconsin; sisters, Connie Ellis and Jane Meyers of Evansville, Indiana.
