An eyeglasses case containing syringes and other drug paraphrenalia was found by a school child near a bus stop at the Wickerhill subdivision in south Peachtree City.

Peachtree City Police Department spokesperson Odilia Bergh said officers at approximately 7:30 a.m. on March 29 responded to an Everhill residence in connection with the paraphrenalia find.

Bergh said an 11-year-old found the eyeglasses case in the area of the bus stop for the Wickerhill subdivision. The subdivision is north of Crosstown Drive and east of South Peachtree Parkway.

The case contained several syringes and small plastic bags containing drug filters. One of the syringes contained blood, Bergh said. There were no confirmed drugs in the bags, Bergh added.

Bergh said the area around the bus stop was checked thoroughly and no other paraphrenalia was found.

“The eyeglasses case had been sitting on the Wickerhill subdivison sign for several days and the boy finally decided to see if someone had lost their glasses,” said Bergh. “Once he looked inside he got the case to his parents.”
