The Peachtree City Rowing Club (PTCRC) has officially opened registration for the spring rowing season.  The club is once again offering the popular Learn-to-Row program designed for youth and adults interested in learning the fundamentals of rowing.  The middle school program is geared toward youth who participated in the fall and/ or winter programs, while the high school program is geared for those who participated on both the fall and winter program.

On March 11 and 18, the club will host scrimmages at their facility on Lake McIntosh.  Crews from the middle and high school programs will race against crews from The Westminster Schools, Riverside Military Academy, St. Andrew Rowing Club and the Atlanta Junior Rowing Association.  Later in the spring, crews from the high school program will participate in the John Hunter Regatta on Lake Lanier, the Clemson Sprints in Clemson, S.C. and the Dogwood Jr. Championships in Oak Ridge, Tenn..

The club is also offering a spring break camp (April 3-7) for youth ages 12 and up.  Visit www.ptcrowing.org for more information or to register for these programs.  PTCRC membership and programs are open to all area residents.

The club invites you to come out to Lake McIntosh any day during practice or during the scrimmages to get a glimpse of the exciting sport of rowing.  Most importantly, come out to cheer on your hometown CREW – the Peachtree City Rowing Club.
