William “Bill” Franklin Walters, 85, of Peachtree City, passed away February 15, 2017.
Bill served in the US Marine Corp from 1950 – 1953. He then worked for the US Government Printing Office for 30 years. He was a member of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church for over 30 years. Bill loved cars, plants, and the Washington Redskins. He adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his wife of 65 years, Kay Walters; daughter, Nan (Rick) Carey; son, Jack Walters; daughter, Lee Ann Walters; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at 12 p.m., in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Dr. David Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org.
