Sylvia Marie Byne, 79, passed away on December 27, 2016.
She was born in Fayetteville, Ga. on May 10, 1937 to Tessie and Fred Dunn. She was a member of Harps Crossing Baptist Church and the Golden Harps.
Sylvia is survived by her husband, Horace C. Byne, Jr.; her sons, Darrell Byne of McCaysville, Marcus Byne (Patty) of Jonesboro, and Joel Byne (Joy) of McDonough; her sister, Catherine Moore of Fayetteville; her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Dunn of Fayetteville; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Harps Crossing Baptist Church, Fayetteville, with Pastors Dennis Watson and Ken Helms officiating. Burial immediately followed the service at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday evening, December 28, 2016 at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
