June Gaines Whiteside, 78, of Fayetteville, passed away December 29, 2016. She was born in Chattanooga, Tenn. on June 1, 1938 to the late Johnny and Irene Gaines.

June is survived by her husband, Donald; son, Keith (Karen) Whiteside of McDonough; daughter, Kara (Tommy) Mosel of McDonough; sister, Janice (Ben) Hansen of Blairsville; grandchildren, Austin Whiteside, Skylar Mosel, Madison Whiteside, and Anslie Mosel; and two cousins.

A funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Pastor Jim Hannah officiating. Burial followed at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. The family received friends from 5 – 7 p.m. on January 1, 2017 at the funeral home.
