The newest superior court judge in the Griffin Judicial Circuit is Fayetteville native Scott Ballard, shown here between Judge Fletcher Sams (L) and Senior Judge Christopher Edwards (R). Some 250 people attended the Dec. 16 ceremony in the Fayette County Justice Center to watch now former District Attorney Ballard take the oath of office, administered by Fayette Probate Judge Ann Jackson. Ballard defeated incumbent Tommy Hankinson of Upson County in the non-partisan election last May. The circuit comprises Fayette, Spalding, Pike and Upson counties. Photo/Submitted.
