Seniors kick off activity schedule

Fayetteville First United Methodist Church  in downtown Fayetteville has several groups for active seniors that meet monthly.

Titus II will meet for lunch at the church on Jan. 3. Travel photographer Gordon Kilgore will share some of his favorite photos. Reservations are due by Thursday, Dec. 29. Call the church office, 770-461-4313.

On Tuesday, Feb. 7, Eternity, a men’s vocal group from Providence UMC, will bring back good memories as they share the international language of love — music. Their selections will reflect a variety of styles, genres and eras.

The lunch menu will include country fried steak, potatoes, green beans, bread and dessert.

Reservations can be made by calling Martha Turner at 770-461-2802 by noon on Feb.  2.

The S.A.G.E. group (Senior Adults Going Everywhere) will visit the  Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta Friday, Jan. 20, from 10:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Cost is $12, plus lunch.

The event includes a guided tour of Porsche’s state of the art North America headquarters including the Porsche Experience Center and Heritage Center. Learn the history of the company, walk through “Porsche’s playground,” see classic Porsche models, and more.

Enjoy lunch afterwards at Malone’s Steak & Seafood restaurant.

Note: This tour does require a good bit of walking.
