Mr. Ellis Richard “Rick” Biddle, Jr., age 73, of Fayetteville, passed away December 9, 2016, at his home.
He was born in North Carolina, son of the late Ellis Richard Biddle, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Carpenter Biddle. Rick grew up in the Jacksonville then the Tampa, Fla. area where he lived most of his life. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida. Ten years ago he moved to Fayetteville to be near his family. He became an insurance representative specializing in insurance for senior adults. He loved visiting his clients in rural Georgia. He also loved spending time with his grandkids, and his loyal dog Blue.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Gale Biddle.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law: Alan and Christi Biddle of Fayetteville, Ga., and David and Alison Biddle of Oviedo, Fla.; grandchildren: Sara Grace, Quinn, and Lillian Karen; brothers: Rodney Biddle of Florida, and Doug Biddle of North Carolina; former wives: Nancy Biddle and Debbie Biddle.
It was Mr. Biddle’s wish to be cremated, and no services are planned. Those wishing to make donations may do so to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org. or American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org.
