Hoshizaki America, Inc.’s Peachtree City manufacturing plant held a canned food drive that ended Nov. 18 to donate to the Real Life Center. Employees have donated over 10,464 pounds of canned good items, which more than doubles their 2015 total. Real Life Center is a local charity whose “mission is to walk with those who are hurting in Fayette and Coweta counties by providing a safe environment, sharing the love of Christ, and promoting long-term change. This mission is accomplished through an innovative process of holistic care. This strategy includes caring for each person physically, emotionally, relationally, financially, mentally, and spiritually. We offer a one-year program designed to help families get back on their feet and to encourage them to set goals that will help promote lasting change.” Hoshizaki is a major supplier of ice makers and other food service equipment. The Peachtree City facility was completed in 1986. An additional manufacturing facility in nearby Griffin began operation in early 2001. Photo/Hoshizaki.
