Stella Cooper Mitchell, 74, passed away on November 28, 2016. She was born on March 15, 1942 in Woodbury, Tenn. to Walter and Frenchie Cooper.
Stella loved to travel. She also wrote three books and taught art at Fayette County Junior High School for over 25 years. She was also a member of Inman United Methodist Church. Whenever she could, Stella loved to wear one of her finest hats. To honor her, please feel free to wear your “Sunday” best in her memory.
Stella was preceded in death by her husband, James Mitchell, and is survived by her daughter, Christy and Danny Nolan; her grandchildren, Alex Nicole Nolan and Mitchell Lee Nolan; and her sister, Nathalie Gannon of Woodbury, Tenn.
The funeral service for Stella will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville Chapel, with Mrs. Joanie Ballard officiating. Burial will follow the service at Inman Methodist Church Cemetery, Fayetteville, Ga. The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service.
