Michael Roy Trantum, 73 of Peachtree City, passed away on November 25, 2016.
He was born in Jamestown, N.Y. on May 1, 1943 to the late Burdette and Mary Trantum. He proudly served and retired from the United States Air Force after 21 years. He then went to work for Coca Cola and retired from there.
Michael was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to many. He was a part of Fayette Hospital Auxiliary Volunteer group. He was an Exalted Ruler at the Elks Lodge in Union City. Michael was the Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council at 808 Holy Trinity Council.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Theresa Trantum; son, Patrick and Alisse Trantum; daughter, Michelle Trantum and Mike Martin; grandchildren, Mark, Shawn, Tony, Alexis and Paige; great grandchildren, Ivy and Bristol; daughter in-law, Jami and Scott Van Stratten; and many nieces and nephews. Michael is preceded in death by son, Todd Trantum.
A celebration of life will take place on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City at 11 a.m., with Monsignor Frank McNamee as celebrant. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 5-7 p.m., with the Rosary at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
