Ricky E. Lynch, of Newnan, Ga., passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the age of 62.

Ricky was born on December 27, 1953 and grew up in Fayette County. He was an active member of Wildwood Baptist Church in Griffin, Ga.  

Ricky was a gentle spirit with a compassionate heart, who loved to help and serve all people. Ricky never met a stranger and greeted everyone with an infectious smile that would brighten a room. He was adored by his family and friends who will miss him dearly. Ricky was a friend, a mentor, a confidante, and a loyalist to those that knew him. His quiet demeanor and selfless personality was an inspiration to all.

 He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Lynch.  

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Susan Lynch; daughter Lisa (Derrick) Goddard; step-children Kristina Keuther and Rich (Leslie) Nelson; his father Edward L. Lynch; his sister Cathy (Alan) Taylor, nephews Jason (Erin) Barnes and Jeff (Jenny) Barnes and many other family members. He was an adored Papa to his grandchildren, Cameron and Kason Goddard and step-grandchildren Kaylee Keuther and Ben Nelson.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville Chapel, with Dr. E. C. Chatham and Rev. Rick Whitlock officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Memorial Park in Fayetteville. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the funeral home.
