Notable students and grads

Two area residents have been selected for Samford University’s Fellows honors program. Joshua C. Lundregan of Newnan is a freshman mathematics major and a graduate of Trinity Christian School. Abigail Caroline Rodgers of Newnan is a freshman premedicine major and a graduate of Northgate High School.

Several local students were recognized at the annual Honors Day celebration hosted by Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business. Kimberley Fox of Peachtree City received the R.J. Knobel Scholarship. Mayky Doan of Peachtree City received the Richard Hammill Outstanding Marketing Student Scholarship. Kimberley Fox of Peachtree City and Michael Millican of Fayetteville were inducted into the Upsilon Phi Delta Honor Society. Jesse Gruby of Senoia received the Atlanta Hospitality Alliance Scholarship.

Eastern Connecticut State University recently released its list of newly enrolled students for the fall 2016 semester. Among the new students is Abibatou Diallo of Fairburn, whose major is English.
