This Saturday, Sept. 17 marks the 12th annual celebration of Greekfest, in which parishioners of St. Christopher Hellenic Orthodox Church come together to prepare and present handmade Greek delicacies to the residents of the Southern Crescent.
The event will start with appetizers at 6 p.m. at the Dixie Wing Commemorative Air Force Hangar in Peachtree City. The public is treated to a night in old Athens, featuring appetizers such as Spanakopita and Tiropita as well as Greek grilled chicken, lamb, gyros and delicate pastries. The evening includes a live Greek band, Endasi, and guests are invited to join in line dancing and kick up their heels.
