City lists updated road closings

Peachtree City’s contractor is performing maintenance work on several of the timber bridges along the city’s path system during September and October. This work requires some bridge closures that will require detours.

The updated work schedule is as follows:

Redwine Bridge will be closed Sept. 12-20 adjacent to the Preserve subdivision on Redwine Road. Contractors will be replacing wood on the bridge and will wash and seal/stain the bridge.

Lake Peachtree Bridge will be closed Oct. 3-7 on Hwy. 54 adjacent to Lake Peachtree. Contractors will wash and seal/stain the bridge.

Also, Beaver Dam Road will be closed to through traffic Sept. 12-23 for the WASA sewer line project in Wynnmeade. Work is ongoing along Tower Road, Wynnmeade Parkway, Fortress Drive, Alice Court, North Meade Drive and Beaver Dam Road.
