National Heights Baptist Church will host the Fayette Safety Summit on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Participants may register at www.fayettesafetysummit.com. Preregistration is recommended.
Classes will be offered for ages five years old and up. There will be no child care for children under 5 years of age.
Classes include active shooter, avoiding scams and cons, self defense, teen dating violence, anti-trafficking information, basic community preparedness presented by CERT (Community Emergency Response Training), CERT for Teens, and others.
In addition to the classes, exhibits will be offered, including the Fayetteville Police Department, the CHAMPS program, Georgia Emergency Management Agency, Out of Darkness, Promise Place, the Fayette County Sheriff”s Department, and others.
