Robert Hampton Howell, 77, of Fayetteville passed away on August 8, 2016.
He was born on July 18, 1939 in Union City, Tenn. to Maidell and Hamp McCluskey Howell. Bob proudly served in the Air National Guard for 22 years. He was a 33-year employee for Ford Motor Company. He was also a very active member of the Fayetteville Church of Christ. An avid car enthusiast, Bob especially loved Corvettes and was very involved in car shows and cruise-ins within the community.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bob is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda Howell; his daughter, Melanie Boelsterli (Michael) and his son, Robert Lee Howell; his grandchildren, Morgan Elizabeth Boelsterli and Ethan Michael Boelsterli; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville Chapel, with Brother Greg Nash officiating. His burial will follow the service at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday evening, August 11, 2016 at the funeral home.
