A Sunday afternoon house fire on Pendleton Trail in Tyrone resulted in significant damage in the garage area but no injuries.
Fayette County Fire and Emergency Services Deputy Fire Chief Tom Bartlett said the structure fire occurred in the garage area of a home located at 225 Pendleton Trail on Tyrone’s east side.
Bartlett said there were no injuries in the blaze, adding that damage to the garage was significant.
Units from Fayette County and Peachtree City had the blaze under control by 2:35 p.m.
The cause of the fire was determined to be a car in the garage, Bartlett said.
Bartlett said the first of several units arrived within six minutes of the 911 call.
