Huddleston Elementary has been awarded a Georgia lottery-funded pre-kindergarten program for the 2016-2017 school year.

Students will be selected for the program by a lottery drawing. Registration for the lottery drawing will take place at Oak Grove Elementary (101 Crosstown Road in Peachtree City) due to construction at Huddleston Elementary.

Registration is 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the following dates: June 20-23, June 27-30, July 5-7, and July 11-13. Parents must bring residency information and the child’s birth certificate at the time of registration.

The lottery drawing will be held July 14 at 8:30 a.m. in the media center of Oak Grove Elementary. Parents, but not children, may attend the drawing. A total of 22 students will be selected for each class. Once a child is selected, parents will be notified and must complete all required enrollment documentation.

Students must be four years old on or before September 1, 2016 to be eligible to participate in the pre-K program. Students who are age eligible for kindergarten cannot register for pre-K.

More information about Huddleston’s pre-K program can be obtained by calling 770-631-3260 and ask for a Huddleston Elementary administrator, or Kim Herron at 770-460-3990, ext. 168, or via email at [email protected].
