The Rite Aid store at 975 Hwy. 54 donated 26 cases of water to the Fayetteville Police Department to help hydrate thirsty Junior Police Academy cadets.

The JPA starts July 18 and cadets spend a good portion of their time outside.

“This is the 14th year of JPA and the Fayetteville Police Department would not be able to provide this service without the benevolence of businesses like Rite Aid and Fayetteville citizens,” according to a statement.
