Mr. Donald (Kirby) Wallace of Tyrone went to be with the Lord June 16, 2016.
He was a 1967 graduate of Douglas County High School. Mr. Wallace was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and he was a member of the local Union City Masonic Lodge 600 F & AM. He was the owner/operator of Rapid Track Service. Mr. Wallace was an active member of the men’s ministry at Peachtree City Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Gail L. Wallace of Tyrone; son, Shannon Shockley and his wife Brandi of Tyrone; granddaughter, Delana Reynolds of Tyrone; siblings, Joe Wallace of Douglasville; Larry Wallace of Douglasville; Joy Cole and her husband Lance of Bremen; Peggy Davis and her husband Jimmy of Newnan; Steve Wallace and his wife Starry of Douglasville; Tim Wallace of Carrollton; brother-in-law, Dean Luallen and his wife Becky of Ft. Myers, Fla. and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 20, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Peachtree City Christian Church with remains placed in-state at 10 a.m. Dr. George Dillard will be officiating. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Gardens.
