After graduation practice, Whitewater High graduates were special guests at Sara Harp Minter Elementary as students at the school gave their senior cohorts a grand send-off as they embark on the next chapters of their lives.
The high school seniors paraded through the hallways of the school wearing their caps and gowns while the elementary students lined the halls and gave high-fives and chanted to them.
This was the first year Sara Harp Minter did a send-off for the Whitewater High graduates, and according to principal Erinn Angelo, the school plans to make it a tradition since it was a huge success with both the students and their parents.
“It was awesome. Many of the seniors went to school at Sara Harp Minter so they got to hug their former teachers,” said Angelo.
