Peachtree City officials announced several road advisories due to various construction projects.
Senoia Road will be closed from June 1 to Oct. 1 to through traffic between The Retreat apartments and Saranac. The closure is necessary for the construction work on the northern end of MacDuff Parkway. Drivers should use Dogwood Trail or Crabapple Lane to access Hwy. 74.
AT&T will be working within the rights-of-way in the Centennial and Chadsworth neighborhoods as they install conduit.
A sinkhole developed in the intersection of Summer Brook and Brookwood Dr. The water line cut through the bottom and sidewall of the stormwater pipe, causing the collapse of the stormwater pipe and the resulting sinkhole. Fayette County Water has lowered the water line this week, and then the Peachtree City Stormwater Department is replacing the damaged section of stormwater pipe. The intersection was scheduled to be partially closed (one traffic lane) through approximately the end of May.
Coweta-Fayette EMC is clearing vegetation along their lines in the rights-of-way around town this month.
