Clyde Robbins “Rob” Richardson, 62, passed away on April 20, 2016.
He was born on May 12, 1953 in Atlanta, Ga. Rob grew up in East Point and attended Georgia State University. He worked as an editor at Marietta Daily Journal, the Fayette Neighbor and the Manchester Morning Star. He loved fairs and carnivals and enjoyed operating his game booth during the events. He had a love for animals, especially cats.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lucille Richardson.
He is survived by his daughters, Courtney Richardson (Kevin) Beaudin of Gay, and Emily Anne Richardson of Young Harris; his sister, Anne and Frank Crotty of Herndon, Va.; and his girlfriend, Karen Olander.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2016 in the Chapel of Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10 -11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Fayette County Humane Society or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
