JoAnne Eugenia Pridgen, 70, of Fayetteville, was born July 10, 1945, and passed away April 12, 2016. She spent her life until sickness overtook her taking care of others: her husband, sons, sisters, nieces, friends, and extended family, who were her sons’ friends or anyone in need.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years Derrelle D. Pridgen, Jr; her three sons Donald E. Pridgen and wife Kelly of Douglasville, Patrick J. Pridgen and wife Nanette of Fayetteville, and Jonathan W. Pridgen of Fayetteville; grandchildren Max, Jack, Grace, and Parker; sister Betty Hardeman; nieces Michele Hardeman, Patti Shaw and husband Phil and children Michael and Brooke Shaw; and her best friend Joyce Hay.
A funeral service was held on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City. Father Dairo Rico officiated. The family received friends on Thursday, April 14 from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m., with a Rosary at 7 p.m., at Mowell Funeral Home in Peachtree City.
