Winter Guard makes history

For the first time in the program’s history, the Whitewater High Winter Guard has medaled at the Southern Association of Performing Arts (SAPA) Championships.

The Winter Guard placed third in the Scholastic “A” division, and received a bronze medal for their 2016 production, “Rise Up.” This was also Whitewater High’s first year in the Scholastic “A” division after having been promoted from the “AA” division at the end of 2015.

The Winter Guard members are Tylan Bell, Ciana Bruce, Taeshana Bruce, Abigail Camp, Ally Campbell, Emily Daniels, Martha Escandon, Alex Gardner, Thea Greenwald, Megan Heard, Brianna Masburn, Kerrianne Moon, Noemi Nolasco, Jaclyn Parks, Trisha Pham, Melanie Wagner, and Camyrn Wren.

Corian Ellisor, Sami Hitechew, Chris Farley, and Taylor Coppolino instruct the Whitewater High Winter Guard. The sponsor is Missy Coppolino; band directors are Jack Jean and Madison Argo.
