Robert Eugene “Bob” Tanner, 74, of Riverdale passed away March 20, 2016.
He served in the 63rd Armored Division of the US Army. Bob later retired after 26 years with Delta Airlines. After retirement, he became a massage therapist. He was an avid fisherman and sports enthusiast. Bob was a member of Christ’s Church at Whitewater for 26 years.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Sidney & Chloe Longshore.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Sharon Hall Tanner, daughter Laura (Mike) Fuchs, son Scott (Sandra) Tanner, grandchildren Abigail and Ashlyn Fuchs, and Sydney and Stephen Tanner, sister Pat Ballard, and nieces Lana, Eydie, and Terri.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2016, 11 a.m., at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Pastor Steven Carpenter officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 10 -11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
