6 PTC, Tyrone, Fayette teens face multiple criminal charges

Six Fayette County teens have been charged with numerous counts relating to a Feb. 16 burglary on Old Greenville Road where a female juvenile hid in the house during the incident.

Charged with two counts of burglary, one count of possession of a firearm by a person under age 18 and one count of participation in criminal gang activity were 17-year-old Peachtree City residents Weldon Lee Turner and Tristin Demetrius Hudson, 17-year-old Tyrone resident Chaz Tyler Moore and 17-year-old north Fayette County resident Jackson Isaiah Dailey , according to Sheriff Barry Babb.

Seventeen-year-old south Fayette County resident Mary Kathleen Clark was charged with two counts of party to the crime of burglary, possession of a firearm by a person under age 18 and participation in criminal gang activity, Babb said.

A 16-year-old juvenile was also charged with one count of burglary, participation in criminal gang activity and possession of a firearm by a person under age 18, said Babb.

Turner and Hudson were charged with theft by taking in a March 3 incident, with Babb adding that Turner was also charged with misdemeanor electronic porn and child exploitation.

Pertaining to the Feb. 16 burglary on Old Greenville Road in south Fayette, a female juvenile, who was in the home at the time of the burglary, called her step-father who in turn called 911, said Babb.

Deputies arrived to find a forced entry through the front door. The victim told deputies she heard a crash and hid. The victim said she also heard two or three voices, said Babb.

The victim did not come in contact with the burglars and sustained no injury, Babb said.

A check of the home by family members revealed that a number of watches, shoes and a safe had been stolen.

The charges of theft by taking against Turner and Hudson dealt with a March 3 incident on the Georgia 85 Connector in south Fayette.

The two were invited into the residence and subsequently stole cell phones, and iPad Mini and a pistol, Babb said.

Babb said detectives during the investigation obtained Turner’s cell phone and found that he had transmitted obscene material involving a juvenile.
