James Henry Moore, 84, of Fayetteville, passed away on February 22, 2016. He was born on January 31, 1932 to Lawrence and Sadie Moore in Birmingham, Ala. He was the Patriarch of the family. He helped raise his sibling, loved his country and had a strong work ethic.
Mr. Moore was retired from the United States Air Force with 26 years of service as M/SGT. He was combat communications in the Air Force since Vietnam. He was retired from GSA as well. He had a strong faith and loved his grandchildren deeply.
Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia and his parents.
He is survived by his sons, Rick Moore (Joanne) and David Moore (Suzanne); his grand-children, Collin, Justin, Savannah, Caitlin, Madison, Emily and Noah; and his sisters, Alice Malone, Judy Blansit and Linda Foley.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Heritage Christian Church, Fayetteville. At 2 p.m., military honors will be rendered outside of the worship center, and the memorial service will be in the worship center immediately following, with Pastor Mike Conaway officiating.
