Belinda “BB” Marie Ball Lusk, age 58, passed peacefully at her daughter’s home, in Newnan, Ga. Born in Atlanta, Ga. and placed for adoption at 10 weeks old, she went to her permanent home with her loving parents, John S & Billie M Ball, of Chattanooga, Tenn. She graduated from Tyner High school in 1975. She aspired to be a nurse but decided to get married and raise a family. She was employed by a Home Health Care Company for over 25 years where she was able to utilize her love for people. BB was proud that she was able to work with children for more than 20 years at First Baptist Jonesboro. She worked in the children’s division as a divisional director where she made an impact on all children, but especially the fifth graders.

Diagnosed with lung cancer in 2006 – Belinda fought a hard battle with cancer of the Lung, breast and liver for over 9 years. She wasn’t one to complain & she maintained a brave and cheerful outlook on a not so optimistic future. Her liver cancer returned in the summer of 2015 and ultimately took her from us way too soon.

Belinda loved the ocean breeze, the color yellow & butterflies, and they will always be special reminders of the things she cherished most. She made a house a home for her two children.

She is survived by Kenneth Aaron Lusk and Rachel of Scottdale, Ga. & daughter: Janna Lusk Fischer and Joshua of Newnan, Ga. She was so very proud to be called “BB” by her five grandchildren Morgin Lusk of Calhoun, Ga.; Luke, Liam, Levi & Leona Fischer of Newnan, Ga. – all who she loved more than life. She was so excited by a sixth grandchild due to her son in April – Henry Lusk. She is survived by her parents; brother, Timothy Ball; sister, Lisa Sutton (companion Rob Lowe); nephew, Zachary Sutton; and a host of cousins, close friends, & church family.

We send a heartfelt thank you to her oncologist, Dr. Bender, & his entire staff, as well as Serenity Hospice. A special thank you to all the wonderful caregivers who came in to her home and have loved BB, helping us take care of her. “It is not how much you do, but how much love you put in the doing.”
