Mary C. “Jeri” Phillippi, 76, of Peachtree City, Ga. passed away February 17, 2016.
She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was a member of the Rosary Group at Arbor Terrace. She was an enthusiastic Green Bay Packers fan and loved doing needlework. She was a dedicated gardener who also was a novice Arborist. She was a voracious reader, having read over 200 books in the last 6 months. Mary enjoyed traveling to watch her grandchild play sports and was present at the 2012 Paralympic Games to watch her grandchild participate. Her love of hosting her family over the holidays was one example of her devotion to her family.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband William James Phillippi, parents Charles and Ada Curley, and foster grandson Hakeem Stuckey.
She is survived by her daughters Elizabeth (Winfred) Dennis of Peachtree City and Mary (Steven) Blanton of Alpharetta; sons James (Jeanette) Brook of Idaho Falls, Ind. and David (Michele) Phillippi of Rockaway, N.J.; sister Margaret (Gerald) Anderson; grandchildren Daniel Dennis, Amanda Dennis, Cynthia Phillippi and Michelle Phillippi; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City. Deacon Mark Scholander will officiate. Interment will take place on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tenn.
