This weekend’s lane closures

Georgia Department of Transportation projects to improve highway infrastructure throughout metro Atlanta continue this weekend, weather permitting. Construction on the I-75 Express Lanes and I-285 will require lane closures, which, in turn, are likely to result in delays. Motorists are advised to exercise caution by reducing speed while driving through work zones.

The traveling public is encouraged to call 511 or consult www.511ga.org  before departing for real-time information on work status and traffic conditions.

Northwest Corridor Express Lanes:

· On I-75, two northbound lanes will close between SR 280/Delk Road and Windy Hill Road nightly from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday.

· On I-75, one southbound lane will close between SR 280/Delk Road and Windy Hill Road from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Saturday.

· On I-75, one northbound and two southbound lanes will close over I-285 between Windy Hill Road and Cumberland Parkway from 10 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Saturday.

· On I-75, two northbound and two southbound lanes will close between Wade Green Road and SR 92/Alabama Road from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Sunday.

· On I-75, one lane will close on the southbound on-ramp from SR 280/Delk Road from 9:30 a.m., until 4 p.m., Saturday.

· A flagging operation will take place on Bells Ferry Road under I-75 from 9:30 a.m., until 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.

South Metro Express Lanes:

· On I-75, one southbound lane and shoulder will close between the I-675 interchange and the Hudson Bridge Road continuously from 9 p.m., Friday until 7 a.m., Monday.

· On I-75, one northbound and one southbound lane and shoulder will close between SR 138 and Mt. Zion Boulevard from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday for the northbound lane and 7 a.m., Monday for the southbound lane.

· On I-75, a traffic shift will take place on the Jodeco Road southbound off-ramp from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Saturday.

· On I-75, one southbound lane and shoulder will close between Hudson Bridge Road and Jodeco Road continuously from 7 a.m., Friday until 7 a.m., Monday.

· On I-75, one northbound lane, shoulder, and the northbound Jodeco off-ramp will close between Hudson Bridge Road and Jodeco Road daily from 7 a.m., until 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.

· On I-75, a traffic pace will take place on the southbound lanes between the I-675 interchange to Hudson Road Bridge. The traffic pace will require motorists to drive 5-10 mph to allow contractors to work across the interstate lanes. The Hudson Bridge Road on-ramp will be blocked during the traffic pace. The traffic pace will take place anytime between 7 a.m., and 7 p.m., on Saturday and Sunday.

I-285:

· Two westbound lanes and one eastbound lane will close between SR 260/ Glenwood Road and the I-20 interchange from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday for sign structure work.

I-75:

· Sign structure work will require one northbound and one southbound lane closure between SR 120 Loop/North Marietta Parkway and SR 5/SR 5 SPUR/Canton Road Connector from 6 a.m., until 5 p.m., Saturday.
