The local attorneys in the Fayette County Bar Association came together as a team to support Fayette Senior Services transportation program through making a generous donation to sponsor the purchase of a new wheelchair accessible van for their aging vehicle fleet.
Fayette Senior Services, Inc. (FSS), a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit charity, recently announced a sponsorship opportunity for organizations and businesses to partner with them to help raise funds for two vans. The Bar Association was the first organization to step forward to support the great efforts that FSS provides to our community.
“It really was an easy decision to support Fayette Senior Services. These folks are the leaders of our community and it is the least we can do as some token of thanks. I’m exceedingly pleased we were able to decide on this together,” said Brandon Taylor, Fayette County Bar Association president.
In addition to the Bar Association, FSS has received support from Hope Memory Care Center.
As the leading provider for low-cost transportation services available in the county, this team delivers seniors to crucial doctor visits, dialysis, and pharmacy pick-ups on a daily basis. Fayette Senior Services is the only option for many in our community to get their life saving treatments at an affordable cost.
The transportation team at FSS transports seniors over 900 times per month for an average of 190,000 miles a year. Each new vehicle will be on the road 8 hours a day, Monday through Friday, making close to 2,000 trips per year, all over Fayette and surrounding counties in addition to visits into Atlanta and beyond when medically necessary.
These sponsorships offer advertising opportunities for 1 year, 4 years, or 10 years on one of Fayette Senior Services’ vans. For a limited time, FSS is also including tickets to The Gala Event at Pinewood Studios, a wonderful black tie evening supporting local participating charities at Pinewood Studios Atlanta.
