Correction on golf cart registration

Peachtree City officials issued a correction Wednesday regarding requirements for golf cart registration.

A county decal is not required for a Peachtree City resident’s golf cart.

“The information on county decals that was provided Monday was incorrect,” according to a city statement. “Fayette County will not require Peachtree City residents who have registered their golf carts in Peachtree City to have a separate county decal to use the paths and approved streets in unincorporated Fayette County.”

Officials advised that Peachtree City residents who drive carts outside the city limits (including Redwine Road area and the school complex) should still make sure they know the County’s rules, which are available at www.fayettecountyga.gov/finance/golf_carts.htm, when driving outside the Peachtree City limits.
