The Fifth Annual Dr. Gerald Troutman Big Give, an American Red Cross blood drive, will be hosted by the Coweta Community Foundation Thursday, Feb. 11, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Centre for Performing and Visual Arts in Newnan.
The event is named in memory of Dr. Gerald Troutman, a local pastor and civic leader who was a board member of the Foundation. Dr. Troutman died in 2012.
“The Big Give is my favorite event of the year that we sponsor,” said Susan Paulk, a Coweta Community Foundation board member. “Not only do we get to partner with a great organization like the Red Cross, but this blood drive also provides an opportunity for all Cowetans to support our community.”
Those interested in giving blood that day can sign up online now at www.redcrossblood.org and use cowetacf as the code for the event. For more information, call the Foundation office at 770-253-1833.
