Sara Frances Garner, age 78 of Brooks, Ga. passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 at Golden Living in Thomaston, Ga.
Sara was born in Molena, Pike County, Ga. on January 2, 1938.
She is preceded in death by parents, Edgar Mose Helms and Viola Alice Helms, son, Clay Garner; the father of her children, George Henry Garner; sister, Betty Opal Pitts; brothers, Larry Helms, Lee Helms, Lawson Helms.
She attended the Brooks Baptist Church, formerly worked at American Mills, Eckerd’s and loved working with plants and flowers having her own fruit and nursery stand.
Survivors include her children, Judy Morris and husband, Wayne of Brooks, Danny Garner and former wife Debbie of Jackson, Donna Gibson and husband, Tony of Williamson, Nora Mangiaracina of Stockbridge, Linwood Garner of Griffin, Jim Garner of Griffin; 17 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Sara Frances Garner was on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Conner-Westbury Funeral home. A funeral service was conducted on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 2 p.m. chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Old Hebron Cemetery, Concord, Ga.
