Recall the glamour and old Hollywood style of Monte Carlo this New Year’s Eve at the Newnan-Coweta Historical Society’s Palmette Ball.

Scheduled from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. is an elegant black-tie evening at the 1937 McRitchie-Hollis Museum listening to the big-band sound of Martin Rudy and his band while enjoying heavy hors d’oeuvres and premium beverages.

In the style of the grand salons of Monte Carlo, there will also be casino-style entertainment with craps, roulette, blackjack and poker as we count down to the new year.

Casino prizes highlight many of the delightful downtown Newnan businesses and restaurants and offer the chance to shop locally.  With on-site childcare there is no worry about trying to find a sitter for the evening.

For an additional fee children 3 years and older can enjoy a fun movie night with snacks and friends.  Space is limited and reservations are required.

Call (770) 251-0207 for more information and reservations.  Tickets are $75 each and may be purchased at www.eventbrite.com or by calling the Newnan-Coweta Historical Society at (770) 251-0207.

Also on display for the ball: the paintings of Millie Gosch and Carl Tait, available for purchase. Proceeds benefit the Newnan-Coweta Historical Society.
