Robert Carl Mulkey was born December 18, 1942 in Atlanta to the late Norman and Ruth Allison Mulkey. He was a member of Peachtree City Christian Church. He served many years on Ridgelake Condominium Board of Directors. After 30 years of service, he retired from Williams Printing Company.
Mr. Mulkey was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Brenda Lucille Duncan Mulkey and his brothers James (Doodle) Mulkey and Donald Mulkey.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Dunn Mulkey, whom he married on October 16, 1999; children Carla Mulkey and Daniel Siewert and their son Madison Siewert, Lance and Dawn Greer and their children Daniel and Deanna Temple and Schuyler Greer; son-in-law Thomas Branson and his daughter Haley Branson; granddaughter Nola and Roger Hensley and their son Charlie Henson; sister and brother-in-law Cheryl and Clifford Callaway of McDonough; brother and sister-in-law Gene and Martha Mulkey of Jackson; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Helen Dunn and Kelly Akin of Hampton, Faye Dunn and Joe Key of Griffin, Judy Dunn and Arthur Moss of Milner, Melba Dunn and David Brown of Peachtree City; very dear Aunt Winnell Allison; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
At his request, his body was donated to the Mayo Clinic Department of Research for research in hopes of helping others.
The family received friends Monday, December 28, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Carl J Mowell & Son Funeral Home, 200 Robinson Road, Peachtree City. A memorial service was held Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Peachtree City Christian Church. Visitation with the family was held in the church’s atrium prior to the service. A reception followed immediately after the service.
