Clara Onita “GiGi” Massey, 98, of Peachtree City passed away December 5, 2015.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband James A. Massey and her parents Joseph and Elizabeth Powell.
GiGi was an avid gardener who enjoyed canning, was a great cook and a devoted housewife. She was an animal lover and a musician who provided musical accompaniment during the showing of silent movies in Newark, Ark. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter JoAnn Ohmsieder-Handley and husband Tom Handley of Peachtree City; her grandchildren Renee (Roger) Bennett of Islamorada, Fla. and Craig (Pamela) Ohmsieder of Fayetteville; her great-grandchildren Harrison Ohmsieder, Caroline Ohmsieder and Kate Ohmsieder; nephew Scotty Branscum of Searcy Ark.; and canine companions Augustus and Sweet Pea.
Interment services will be held at a later date in her home town of Newark, Ark. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 10, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Carl J Mowell & Son Funeral Home in Peachtree City, Ga.
