The best catering service in metro Atlanta might be the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Culinary Cats at Whitewater High.

Under the supervision of family and consumer science teacher Allison Buntyn, culinary arts students, nicknamed the Culinary Cats after the school’s Wildcat mascot, regularly prepare food and cater events for the school system and other organizations around the county.

Now, more people in Georgia know about the talents of the Culinary Cats after catering the Outstanding Archives Awards ceremony for the Georgia Historical Records Advisory Council (GHRAC), which was held last month at the Georgia Archives in Morrow. The awards program recognizes individuals and organizations for their outstanding efforts in archives and records work in Georgia.

Catering the statewide event was an honor for the Culinary Cats, especially since one of the award recipients was none other than Georgia’s First Lady Sandra Deal. Gov. Nathan Deal was in attendance with his wife, and both took time to meet the students, complimenting them on the delicious food, and how beautifully it was presented.
